Career Goals

With the goal of training to become a special education educator, I have dedicated my academic studies and research to educational sciences with a specialization in Disabilities in Society, and have several years experience with all kinds of students since volunteering and working professionally in the field. As an art historian, I've written short articles on artists actively working in Gainesville in the UF Art History Association's Magazine, Dinner + No Show, and am currently the art editor of the school's oldest undergraduate literary arts magazine, TEA.

Accumulating over thee hundred hours in volunteering at schools across Miami Dade County, I've grown a love and compassion for teaching, and having had experience with students with disabilities while volunteering in the SPED program at a private school, I decided quickly into my educational sciences studies that I wanted to specialized in disabilities. I've had first hand experience with the developent of IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) for students, and watching teachers track their student's progress and services they're recieving.
