About the Course
EME2040 introduces students to a wide range of instructional concepts, tools, abilities, and hands-on experiences focused on utilizing technology in professional settings to accomplosh diverse instructional objectives. The course covers applications such as computer productivity tools like MS Office and Google Docs, multimedia creation such as digital story telling and interactive presentations, and educational software in the context of interactive media environments. The course is designed as an overview to enhance understanding of technology concepts and to offer experiences that support individual critical thinking, learning, and skill development.
As a future educator, this course has helped me better engage with productivity tools such as MS Office, Canva, and other platforms that also serve as digital storytelling tools for a certain audience, project, or even class. The skills taught in EME2040 are critical in a wide variety of careers due to the technological implications of the applications and collaboration tools we are using in class.
